Diageo has revived its Mortlach whisky label with plans to focus on China in its international push.
With four luxury whiskys ranging from £55 on the low end to £600 for the Mortlach 25-year-old, the whisky will be sold through Travel Retail’s sales channels starting between February and April of 2015, according to Just-Drinks.
The whisky will also be delivered to 1,300 high-end cocktail and specialty whisky stores worldwide.
Diageo’s key markets for Mortlach are Greater China, the U.K., Germany, the U.S., and worldwide through Travel Retail. In China, the brand will introduce the whisky in 5 Chinese cities with the help of “key influencers.”
Because of limited supplies, the whisky will be sold in 50cl bottles, except for in the U.S. where it can be sold legally only in 75cl bottles.
