China has nearly 3 million high net worth individuals, and that number is expected to increase in the coming years.

Moneyweek recently released its ranking for the 3,000 richest families in China. According to China Daily, the wealth of these families is concentrated in businesses in the areas of internet, health, and consumption. Here’s the top 10:

  1. Ma Huateng, chairman and CEO of Tencent, 100.68 billion yuan
  2. Li Yanhong (Robin Li), 20.7 percent stake in Baidu, China’s largest search engine, 85.38 billion yuan
  3. Liu Qiangdong, 20.68 percent company stakeholder in e-commerce site JD.com, 48.48 billion yuan
  4. Guo Guangchang, chairman of Fosun International Ltd, 41.03 billion yuan
  5. He Xiangjian, 36.66 percent stake in Midea Group, China’s biggest home appliance maker, a 14.22 percent share in Wuxi Little Swan Co Ltd, a washing machine maker, and owns 65.23 percent stake in Welling Holding Limited, which specializes in research and development and manufacturing of motors, 34.65 billion yuan
  6. Zhang Zhidong, 3.49 percent stakeholder in Tencent, 34.52 billion yuan
  7. Xu Rongmao, 64.54 percent stakeholder in Hong Kong-listed Shimao Property Holdings Limited, 33.76 billion yuan
  8. Wang Chuanfu, chairman of BYD, a new energy vehicle maker, with a 24.24 percent stake in the company, 30.88 billion yuan
  9. Yang Huiyan, managing director and 57.78 percent stakeholder in property development company Country Garden, 29.52 billion yuan
  10. Ding Lei, founder and 44.8 percent stakeholder of internet technology company Netease, 28.47 billion yuan
