Betting on stronger demand for luxury intimates in the Chinese market, Italian lingerie retailer La Perla opened a new flagship in Beijing.
The new 180 sqm store is located at Shinkong Place Mall. This is the company’s fifth boutique in Beijing. La Perla opened a store at Parkview Green in Beijing last year.
La Perla’s target consumers in China are slightly younger. In Europe, La Perla is popular among women over 35. In China, La Perla is favored by women in their 20s.
The company expects Asia to account for a big share of its business. La Perla sells upscale Italian lingerie and swimwear and has been making a major investment in Asia. The company featured Chinese supermodel Liu Wen for its S/S 2014 ad campaign.
