With a lower-profile than Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Beijing, Shanghai Fashion Week, which ended on April 15th after a week of runways shows and other events, showcased up-and-coming young designers.

A number of young European designers and Chinese designers that studied at European fashion schools brought a European flair to Shanghai Fashion Week.

Among the international designers were Astrid Andersen, Johnny Diamandis of AK Club, and Christophe Terzian. Astrid Andersen, who graduated from The Royal College of Art in London, is known for his premium sportswear that mixes street style with high-fashion. Johnny Diamandis, a graduate from Central St. Martins School of Art and Design London, has worked in London (for Burberry), Japan, and New York City, and brings his collection for AK Club to fashion week.
