The Mercedes-Benz China Fashion Week will run from March 24-31 in Beijing and will feature fashion shows from Juzui, Lianvis, Bosideng, Viscap, Tangy, and many more.
Juzui will present its Liu Ming collection to kick off the week’s slate of fashion shows. The theme for the show will be, roughly translated, “time to the United States” with an emphasis on “elegance in mind, calm pleasure.” The company’s marketing efforts point to an increased effort to appeal to a western audience.
As Bosideng looks to expand into additional western markets, the company will return to its home country to showcase its autumn/winter designs for 2014. Despite its desire to become a global brand, Bosideng has decided to embrace its Chinese heritage in its latest expansion into the US market.
Returning to China Fashion Week where she won the top honor, the Golden Award, in 2007, Liangzi is another fashion designer taking her cues from traditional Chinese elements. Her Tangy collection uses Chinese silk as the main theme for all her designs in a quest to blend international sensibilities with a Chinese flair.
