Tmall and JD.com Dominate China’s Online B2C Market

Tmall and JD.com dominate China’s B2C market with a 73.83 percent combined share in the first quarter of 2014. The remaining market share is divided among many players with none having greater than a 3 percent share.

According to Chinese research company iResearch, China’s total online B2C shopping market reached 181.92 billion yuan (USD 29 billion) in the first quarter of 2014, up by 44.6 percent compared to a year ago, much faster growth than the C2C market (up 18.3%), reports China Internet Watch.
