Bulgari partners up with Shu Qi for Lucea campaign

Bulgari celebrates 130 years with a new brand ambassador and a brilliant new collection.

Italian luxury brand Bulgari recently unveiled two of its newest stars – Chinese actress Shu Qi and the new Lucea collection. The brand celebrated this collaboration at a swanky event in Beijing, attended by over 300 guests including the who’s who of China’s entertainment industry, socialites, watch enthusiasts and industry leaders.

Guests included Bulgari CEO Jean-Christophe Babin, brand and communications managing director Sabina Belli, country managing director of Greater China and Australia Antoine Pin, Bulgari Horologerie managing director Guido Terreni, plus celebrities and socialites such as Tiffany Tang, Jerry Lee and Claudia Wang.

As a tribute to the timepiece’s sundial design, the iconic Beijing TV Station was transformed to mirror the inspiration behind the Lucea – the rounded stage to represent the case design, and brilliant lighting to show off the celestial orbits of the Lucea.

Adorned in Bulgari jewellery and wearing the new Lucea on her wrist, Shu Qi expressed her excitement at being appointed brand ambassador.

“I am fascinated by how the brand is able to incorporate jewellery design into their timepieces. I also appreciate the concept of ‘time’ and ‘light’ which the collection conveys. To me, a beautiful timepiece can always brighten the best of times for women,” said the 38-year-old star.
