Versace opened its third jewelry boutique in Beijing this past weekend — after Rome in 2007 and Dubai in 2009. This is telling of China’s buying power since they don’t even have one in Paris, London or the U.S.
The 80 square meter store, located in China Center Place, exudes Versace’s signature chic opulence with white lacquer and black leather.
Versace will have 67 stores in China at the end of 2010.
China is an important market for the Versace brand. “The opening of Versace Jewelery in Beijing fits in with our strategic development plans for China, a key market where the company has achieved constant and impressive growth,” said Versace CEO Gian Giacomo Ferraris.
