The Spanish menswear brand Florentino plans to enter the Chinese market with the opening of 30 stores.
Founded in 1970 by Florentino Cacheda, the brand offers tailored suits as well as classic and contemporary accessories and casualwear.
The brand has opted to bypass Beijing and Shanghai. Instead, the first three stores will open in Ningbo, Harbin and Shenzhen, some of the fast-growing Chinese cities in terms of consumption. Florentino expects the international business to account for nearly 50 percent of its sales in the next three years.
The new stores, which will be modeled after Florentino’s Madrid flagship store, will open in November.
“Reflection, research and working hard every day” is how founder Florentino Cachedo sums up its approach to design.
