More lifestyle brands are emerging in China.
Ogio, which sells bags and apparel for the active and sport-enthused market, has targeted the Chinese market after success in Europe and North America.
Ogio launched its first China retail store in Beijing last October with a custom-designed collection for Beijingers.
“Our success formula of developing unique adrenaline raising styles with intelligent design features sparked our rapid growth over the past four years,” commented Tony Palma, OGIO’s CEO. “We are proud and excited to introduce a collection, specifically selected for the Chinese market, at our first retail store in the brand new, upscale Aegean Beijing Shopping Mall.”
According to Palma, the brand “is experiencing the same explosive growth in China that we are seeing in the US and throughout the rest of the world.”
Ogio opened its second store in Shanghai’s Super Brand Mall and plans to unveil stores in Guangzhou, Hong Kong, Chongqing and Shenzhen over the next 6 to 12 months.
