While high-profile Western luxury companies are aggressively expanding in China, their Japanese peers are more low-key in approaching Chinese consumers.
Tokyo-based royal leathercraft brand Les Sacs Adam (LSA) is the latest example. In early June, it opened its first China store in Mei Long Zhen Isetan department store located in downtown Shanghai.
Each purse of LSA belongs to a limited edition, which makes its owner feel unique and outstanding. Japanese style is particularly favored by Chinese office ladies because of the low-profile, elegant and detailed designs.
