The Armani Group opened its new Emporio Armani flagship store in Beijing on October 30th. Located in bustling Sanlitun, the huge 1,683 square meter store housed in a five-story diamond shaped building showcases Emporio Armani men, women, and the Armani Jeans collections.
An ongoing trend among luxury brands is building large flagship stores for better consumer experiences. This is in response to the growing number of Chinese consumers who are becoming more sophisticated and demanding better service experience as well as to encourage more Chinese luxury consumers to shop domestically.
Products in the new Emporio Beijing store range from formal wear, casual wear, footwear, to watches, jewelry and other accessories. The first floor holds Emporio Armani women’s collection and accessories, while menswear and accessories are located on the second floor. Armani Jeans for men and women are located at the lower level.
The building’s exterior is a striking architectural landmark in Beijing and the interior, which exudes an understated Armani elegance, includes a dramatic glass staircase connecting each floor.
Giorgio Armani SpA Deputy Chairman John Hooks, Giorgio Armani Hong Kong CEO Fabrizio Dosi, and Emporio Armani brand ambassador Shu Qi were in town to celebrate the store opening.
