Another fashion label moving into China.
Dsquared opened its first mainland store in Shanghai last week through a partnership with Singapore-based Kwang Sia.
Located in the high-end IFC shopping mall in Pudong, the 1,830-square-foot boutique features contemporary touches with hints of a wilderness vibe with antler chandeliers and birch trees bark walls.
Founded 17 years ago in Italy by Canadian twin brothers Dean and Dan Caten, Dsquared is known for making clothes that combine Italian elegance with their Canadian roots.
Dsquared will open a large 4,306-square foot store in Beijing’s Sanlitun Village in March with Asia’s luxury retail giant the Joyce Group.
The label, which has stores in Hong Kong and Singapore, expects to open 15 more stores throughout Asia by 2015.
