British luxury footwear brand Charlotte Olympia opens its first standalone store in Asia with a boutique in The Landmark shopping center in Hong Kong.

Founded by Charlotte Olympia Dellal in 2007, the brand has been worn by international icons such as Kate Moss, Sarah Jessica Parker, Katy Perry, and Beyonce.

Dellal said in an interview with the South China Morning Post, “I think generally the women [in Hong Kong] are very glamorous, which I love. They don’t have to wait for Friday night to dress up. It’s a Monday morning and they have had their hair done. That’s my kind of lady. Plus Hong Kong is super cosmopolitan. The mix of old and new inspires me.”

The store opening in Hong Kong seems like a perfect fit for Charlotte Olympia, as the brand’s new autumn-winter line is inspired by Chinese culture and history. Called Shanghai Express, the new collection will feature shoes in red lacquer and covered with prints imbued by the style of the traditional blue and white Chinese porcelain.

In an attempt to compete in the accessories market, the store will also carry Charlotte Olympia’s upcoming line of handbags and other accessories. The store will be jointly operated with the Pedder Group.
