Luxury Phone Maker Mobiado Debuts in China
Competition in China’s mobile phone market may be intensely fierce, but it did not deter luxury phone maker Mobiado, which came into China in late June 2010 and is carried by Shanghai Qihao Industrial Co., Ltd, the exclusive distributor in mainland China.
A high-end phone brand owned by Vancouver-based Bonac Innovation Corp, Mobiado offers Chinese consumers the Classic712ZAF series in three colors – sky blue, aurora pink and porcelain white – though the original collection is available in nine colors.
Compatible with all GSM networks, the phone enables its holders to stay connected wherever they are. Each phone is decorated with expensive gems such as ruby and sapphire, a Mobiado trademark.
Similar to other luxury brands, Mobiado is faced with the inevitable counterfeiting in China. Online stores are selling thousands of fake Mobiado at prices as low as 400 yuan (US$59 ), compared with about US$2000 for the authentic version.
